Are Wood Accent Walls The New Shiplap?

Sharing a few of my favorite wood accent walls that make a statement just as much as the tried and true shiplap.

My Favorite Wood Accent Walls

I’m sure you all know that I love a good accent wall by now. I raved about wanting a black accent wall in my master bedroom for the longest time, so I went and bought the supplies and got to work. While we’re all waiting for the big accent wall reveal (trust me, I am too) I want to share a few of my favorite wood accent walls that make a statement just as much as the tried and true shiplap.

REAL TALK

I know I’m overdue to share the reveal of the wall… but it’s not finished just yet. 80% of it us up and complete, and the wall has one coat of paint on it. I had my new windows scheduled to go in right as we were getting shut down for this whole coronavirus situation. This was the next step that needed to be done so I could finish the wall. I didn’t want to frame in the windows before my new windows went in (working backwards would cause more touchups, etc.) While construction is considered essential right now, I have decided to hit pause while I’m at home making masks for nurses and healthcare workers on the front lines. So we will wait just a little bit longer for the accent wall to be complete. Be patient friends! I promise, it’s coming soon!
