I’m going to get a little personal today. I’m excited to share my words of the year for 2020. A little different than last year because I have not one, but two words for this year. I believe they go hand in hand and will really help me navigate my year ahead.

THE WHY

I’ll keep it simple. I’ve learned through first hand experience and lessons in the past few years that I often put others and things in my life first that don’t value me in return. This can be both a hard lesson to learn and sometimes even a harder habit to break. I decided that this was part of myself that I wanted to work on in 2020 so selecting my word of the year to help with this aspect of life was a good direction to start.

THE WORDS

My word of the year this year is a two parter – one part BALANCE and one part CONFIDENCE. I need to keep balance in mind to make sure that I put others and things in my life first that do value me in return and are positive lights in my life. I also need the confidence to follow through with the balance and maintain the relationships that are on my side.

On the flip side, I know that when I’m at my best and feeling confident the balance just naturally happens. I get out of balance when my confidence is down and I’m going to challenge myself to maintain these two words in my daily routines to have an amazing year.
