Checking in on my vision board progress for 2019…. An end of year update before we jump into 2020.
Well friends, we made it. 2019 is almost over and a new decade is about to start. Has it been easy? Nope. Has it been fun? At times. Did the good times outweigh the bad? I’d like to think so.
My word for 2019 was progress. I’m happy with my choice in words and I do feel like I’ve made progress this year, as a friend, a professional, and just as an overall human. I’ve made connections, grown as a friend, and learned so much throughout 2019. I compiled a short list of the highlights from my year – just like Instagram, these highlights have had their share of behind the scenes and there’s also been lows that I chose not to share online. But I’m pretty proud of my highlight reel for 2019 so here it is.
I REBRANDED MY PILLOW SHOP
I wanted to rebrand and set apart my pillow shop from my blog for a while and at the beginning of 2019 I did just that. With a new rebrand and the clean black and white logo It inspired me to continue to take the next steps and I even launched my own website separate from Etsy. You can now shop Defined Designs Pillows (and bags!) at www.defineddesignsshop.com
I covered my travels in this post here, but I definitely enjoyed my spring and summer being able to travel and visit friends. Next year maybe I’ll take a vacation somewhere tropical??
I DESIGNED A LITTLE ON MY OWN
I’ve been taking baby steps towards offering design services on my own and this year I designed two houses. You can see the design/consulting project I worked on here. And the other one will be revealed in 2020 – I can’t wait to share it with you!

I BOUGHT A HOUSE
This one was big. I decided to cap off the year by buying a house. A townhouse specifically, but I did the damn thing and even renovated it too. So thankful to my family for all of the help and support…. and my dad’s hard work in helping me demo everything.
I’ve been trying to decide on my word of the year for 2020. I feel like there’s so much I want to do, learn and achieve. What would your word for 2020 be if you had to choose?
