This past weekend I attended my first blogger conference, The Blog Societies Conference in Georgia and it was truly an amazing experience. I’m so inspired to do all the things.
Guys. I did a thing, I went to a blogger conference this past weekend hosted by The Blog Societies and let me tell you first hand…. it was AMAZING. I have never been so inspired, excited, and downright filled with love and knowledge probably ever. This was a whole new kind of inspiration. A whole new kind of knowledge and empowerment. I had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful bloggers, make new friends in the blogging world and really connect over something that we all have in common – the passion for our little corners of the internet. There were workshops to learn and grow your blogs and businesses, lunches and dinners hosted by some amazing brands, and it was all put together by the two founders of The Blog Societies – Jessica of My Style Vita and Cathy of Poor Little It Girl. If you’re not following them yet, you need to. They both have the cutest dogs too, if that’s the kind of content you’re looking for.
Flower Arrangement Class
Along with all of the things that I learned and got to soak up throughout the weekend, I took a floral arrangement class with Malorie from Petal & Fold a florist based in Atlanta. I loved getting to learn different tricks about types of flowers and how to arrange a bouquet, the layers of greenery (which we all know I love some fresh greenery and plants) and even how to open up a rose so it’s pretty and full before adding it to an arrangement.
Did you know there’s 3 ways to open a rose??
And I can’t forget to share where it was located – Barnsley Resort in Adairesville, GA was truly a getaway experience that anyone would enjoy. This resort is secluded away in it’s own little world, the staff was so amazing, kind and helpful. There were two weddings and multiple other large groups booked the same weekend and you never would have known – they planned it all so well that we never really interfered with any of the other groups. If you’re in the area or looking for a little getaway, I would highly recommend booking a stay at Barnsley Resort.
