December is within reach and we’re sharing our Holiday movie favorites with you so you can get to watching this weekend!
It’s 15 degrees out and there’s a blanket of snow on the ground here in New Hampshire. I’m now still officially stuffed to the brim thanks to Thanksgiving (which I wish was an exaggeration but Aunt Kelly’s potatoes and stuffing are really THAT good) and it’s now officially time for all things Christmas. December is basically here, meaning it is finally the time for holiday decorations, cozy pjs, big cups of cocoa and of course non-stop Christmas Movies! It’s the most wonderful time to light an evergreen-scented candle… check out Thyme’s Fraiser Fir – it’s magical, grab your warmest blanket, and curl up on the couch with your fluffy companions – my kittens, Brûlée and Toffee and for Emma, her puppy Frank.
Let’s start with the basics, where to watch. Our go-to is definitely a toss up between Hallmark and Netflix for all the holiday movies and specials. We all know of their cards but I have really got to give it to Hallmark, their channel is a major go-to this time of year. With 22 new original movies premiering this 2018, I will be glued to the couch. This Saturday you can catch Mingle All The Way, a new movie where Molly, the creator of an app for singles to meet, matches with someone from her past and we can only guess what that will lead to. Homegrown Christmas, premiering December 8, stars Lori Loughlin as Maddie who goes home for Christmas and reconnects with her high school sweetheart. When it comes to Netflix you can count on the classics. My absolute favorites are The Grinch and Love Actually, both of which are available to stream on Netflix. This year, make sure to watch the new The Christmas Chronicles – envision a take on The Santa Clause but starring Kurt Russell as Santa. If you’re looking for a show to binge instead, check out The Great British Baking Show: Holidays.
