Check out my reading list for this year and let me know if you have read any of these!
I’m not going to lie here, I’m not a big reader. I’m also a massive busybody and never seem to leave myself any free time to just sit down and read. One of my goals this year was to read more, so I’m starting small and I gave myself a goal to read five books this year. I know that might not sound like much but if you know me, I’m lucky if I can finish a book a year. I love keeping myself busy and between work, my blog and the pillow shop, I’m usually occupied with something!
Here are the books I’ve got on my reading list this year
I know, I know, I should have read these already when I was MUCH younger. I have seen all the movies and still binge the marathons when they’re on tv, but I just never managed to get around to the books when they were first out. I got the complete set as a gift last year so I figured it was about time to start them. I’m about halfway through this book right now.
I’ve had this book for a while now too. To be completely honest, I read the first few pages when I first got it, but didn’t manage to keep it going so I’m going to start over. I think this one will be my next read after Harry Potter.
Another book that I’ve had for a while… If you’re sensing a pattern here, you’re correct. I’ll even add to that pattern and tell you that I’ve read the first two chapters of this one and stopped. I’m terrible! I’ll be starting this one over too.
FOUR – Gone Girl | Gillian Flynn
First things first, I haven’t seen this movie yet. I knew I really wanted to read the book first when this movie was coming out so I held back on seeing it until I read it. I’m so happy I did because this one might be one of the more exciting books I have on my list. It just had so much hype around it, I can’t wait to read this one and then finally be able to treat myself after with the movie too!
I’ve heard so many good things about this book. I think I might round off my year with this one, hopefully it will give me a good jolt of inspiration for the end of the year rut.
Are any of these on your reading list? Have you read any of them? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
