Get the Reading Nook You Voted For

This week’s get the look is featuring the cozy reading nook you voted for on Instagram.

ONE – The tall wingback chair is not only stylish, but it provides a comfort level for cozying up with a book. The color in this particular spot is also key, the pastel color is so pretty and dainty that it really mixes well with the other dainty and feminine styles, patterns and textures in this space.

TWO – The side table is the landing spot for all things rest and relaxation in this corner. A handful of candles, and a spot to place your drink of choice and this little table is a must have in this reading nook. The key with the candles and lamp are keeping those varying heights again.

THREE – The upholstered top on this ottoman provides definite comfort for putting your feet up while reading a book. The pattern here is really key (not necessarily the shape of the ottoman with legs). The tribal pattern in a muted neutral color adds a feminine feel and ties in well with the golds and other details.

THE CHAIR – For this chair I focused on two things, the color and the comfort. The baby blue color is definitely key for this design in particular, but you could do this ∆same setup with any color that fits your current home and style. I love the tufting on this chair that I selected. I also LOVE this one if you’re looking for a bold pop of color, maybe?

THE OTTOMAN/ POUF – If I remember correctly, the ottoman in the original image was from Target maybe two or three years ago? Since it’s no longer available… I wanted to find something with a similar pattern that functioned as a place to kick your feet back. I love this pouf and the oversized pattern that matches the original bench. Poufs can be a great budget friendly option and they’re easy to pick up and move around to a different spot if needed too!

THE LAMP – I decided to switch this up a little and go for a tall, floor lamp instead of taking up too much space on the side table. I wanted to leave enough space on the table for your book and maybe a cup of tea or coffee. Key here is looking for something all metal in that brassy gold color. Something that has an adjustable lamp head like this one so you can move it around freely while you’re reading.

THE TEXTURES – Lastly, I felt like the textures make a huge difference in the cozy factor here. I love how in the original image, the bench, blanket, and the gold all seem to match pretty spot on and it creates this light and airy look. I also love the idea of bringing in the Moroccan wedding patterns for a feminine touch. This pillow and this blanket really seal the seal in this look.
