Summer is the perfect time to revamp your home style and try new things. It’s the time of year to start new for the recent grads and for us young professionals, it’s never a bad time to switch things up or promote some change in your life- so why not start with your home? Today I’m talking about 5 of my favorite patterns that are currently trending and perfect to add to your home!

ONE | Banana Leaf – Banana leaf or palm print is everywhere right now and I don’t think it’s going away! It started to become popular last summer and I think it’s going to be even more popular this time around.

shibori pattern for summer

TWO | Shibori – Shibori is a type of tie dying that has a really distinct quality to detail. Typically seen on indigo or mud cloth material fabrics and applications. Indigo pillows with shibori patterns are becoming very popular this year and can even run you a pretty penny for just the covers!

moroccan pattern for summer

THREE | Moroccan – Mainly found in rugs, poufs and pillows right now… the growing popularity of Moroccan patterns and style is becoming the new aztec.

vintage distressed pattern for summer

FOUR | Vintage Distressed – Kind of like how the trends from the 90’s are coming back in style… those traditional, vintage motifs and patterns like on your parents living room rug growing up are coming back. They’re just purposefully acid washed or distressed now.

What do you think? Do you have a favorite pattern for this summer?

xx, Emma
