January White Sales

Did you know that January is the best month to buy bedding? If not, it’s okay… I’ve gathered all of the details with where all the sales are so you can shop them before they end! First thing’s first, I know everyone loves a good sale, and they’re traditionally paired with holidays like Labor Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Black Friday, etc. While the annual January white sale is not directly related to a holiday, in the design world it’s become a holiday of its own. It was started by John Wanamaker who was the founder of a department store called Wanamaker’s when he decided to put all of the white bedding on sale in order to help increase sales. The first white sale was in 1878 and they still go on today, over 100 years later. Traditionally, the sales have always been on white bedding only. These days you can find some of the best sales on almost any color of bedding and some stores even include other items in the sale.
