3 Ways to Use Apothecary Jars in Your Home

Apothecary Jars are probably one of those things where you can’t put a face to the name. Most people know about or even own these decorative glass jars but never know what they’re called. They’re easy to find at your local home decor or craft store, and even easier to use! I’ve pulled together 3 of my favorite ways to use apothecary jars in your home just to prove how easy it is!

3 Ways to Use Apothecary Jars

Fun Fact: Apothecary jars first got their name because they were commonly used by doctors to hold pharmaceuticals & medicines. Now, you can use them in just about any room of your home or apartment. They’ll work as a functional piece that you’ll find yourself using daily, or you can keep them just decorative.

Here’s 3 easy ways to use apothecary jars:

Apothecary Jars in the Kitchen

1. In the Kitchen

The easiest way to use apothecary jars in the kitchen is to fill them with bulk food items. Lemons and limes are perfect for summertime – they keep the kitchen bright and colorful. For the winter months – try tricolored pasta or oats and flour for baking!

Apothecary Jars in the Bathroom

2, In the Bathroom

Mixing & matching these glass jars is very easy to do… I love mixing them with different shapes and sizes to add an extra depth to the space they’re in. Smaller apothecary jars are perfect for holding cotton balls & nail polishes like shown above.

Apothecary Jars in the Living Room

3. In the Living Room

Adding apothecary jars in your living room is an easy way to add a little decorative flair to the room. Love wine? Grab a jar from your local decor store and start saving those wine corks. I keep my wine corks on my coffee table for an easy {and budget friendly} decoration & that way I don’t forget to keep collecting corks on wine nights with my girlfriends!
